Bonds
Thesis
Treasury-level cash is a legitimate anchor. The Fed held at 3.75–4.00% on 28 October, with two officials voting for a hike. Government money funds give roughly that yield with minimal price risk and dry powder for volatility.
Risks
Yield falls if the Fed cuts, and cash lags inflation or strong equity rallies. Over long horizons it is the lowest-return asset in the book. Figures as of November 2026.
